After all, Christmas Day is one of the few days that it is appropriate to start with a glass of Champagne, which is itself, one of the few drinks that it is acceptable to consume at breakfast...
We know from the classic festive variation Bucks Fizz - (2 parts Champagne to 1 part orange juice) invented at London's Buck's Club in 1921 - that Champagne and orange have a long history of association. So if you're looking to add a little festive spice to your Christmas Day eyeopener, this Christmas Champagne cocktail featuring our homemade spiced orange syrup is an excellent variation, and almost as simple to make at home.
Add the spiced orange syrup to a Champagne flute and top with chilled Champagne. Stir once and garnish with a twist of orange peel.
