This recipe comes from the rooftop garden of the Queen of Hoxton pub in East London. Every winter this rooftop retreat is converted into a cosy party spot with a different theme from the 'SKYEHALLA' of 2017 to the Parisian boudoir-inspired wigwam of 2018.
Whatever the theme, this simple hot toddy recipe is a winner.
Hoxton Hot Toddy
35ml blended Scotch whisky
5ml ginger liqueur (we use King's Ginger)
1 tsp sugar
slice of ginger
Add the sugar and a splash of hot water to a mug and stir to dissolve. Add the ginger liqueur, maraschino and whisky and top with hot water. Garnish with a clove-studded slice of ginger.
