This spiced orange syrup can be used as a straight replacement for simple syrup in all of your favourite cocktail recipes or served with Champagne or sparkling wine to add a touch of festive cheer to a simple glass of fizz.

Combine all ingredients in a pan over a medium heat and simmer for ten minutes. Remove from the heat and steep for one hour. Once cool, strain into a sterile bottle and keep (in the fridge) for up to two weeks.
